Yesterday we had lots of indications that the weather was going to be stormy rainy, and it did rain. Some. But mainly there was a lot of wind, making incredible cloud dances all day and into the night. Too cloudy to see the full moon, so I suppose we can say we had an eclipse of sorts... I hope it was better viewing in other parts of the world!
The life celebration we had for Bob-O at Zaco's Taco's was good. We talked about how he came to Culebra with his buddy Bill (the former owner of Grumpy's bar on St. John) - stories of how people end up on Culebra are almost always good ones and his was no exception. Until one day, years later, he decided he'd head out to Panama and try life on Bocas del Toro. He liked it and they liked him; except for one visit back to us a couple of years ago, we didn't see him again and heard from him with the usual frequency of those that leave - enough to let us know he was still enjoying the life there. Here's to you, Bob-O: we can imagine you at last off the wagon, with the rest of our motley crew who have gone ahead. You did good.
Thunder is again softly booming in the distance and the radar shows lots of rainy weather still swirling around us. That's how we roll.
Since the pelicans haven't come by to visit me much, I went to them yesterday. I'm afraid this fellow wasn't too pleased about it.
But this one was much too busy preening to notice me at all.
So goes another day in Paradox.
Have a total Thursday! Do something tempting.
