I have no idea what he's talking about, but it's part of what is going on this unique day on earth. Personally, only two big things are taking place today. Let's get the bad news out of the way first. Today is the End of the World for Arte Fango. The marshalls come tomorrow to insure the eviction of a man and a place that have given a lot of pleasure to a lot of people over the years. Not just charming Jorge and his artistic offerings, but the buildings themselves, charming all on their own, set in a tropical garden that Jorge and friends have added to and encouraged over the years.
To you, man who would destroy nature's beauty to put up something temporary in the world. |
So what do we do when faced with disaster? We have a party, that's what. So today is The End of the World party at Arte Fango. Come on by and honor what was. Bring something to eat and drink!
The other thing, on a happier note, is Francie's birthday. Since I regard her as one of the goddesses in my life, it is only proper that this day is the day she was born,
No? That's too bad if not. My sister was also named Francie and this was a big hit around our house.
We never did get these though. Alas.
But to me, it looks like a Francie timeline. Except there is nothing in purple, so it must not be that. Weirdly, if you google Francie and purple, there are a LOT of potential picks . Maybe it comes with the name, as my sister Francie's favorite color was also purple. Since they are the only Francie's I know, I can claim empirical evidence that there is a connection between the name Francie and the color purple. That's worth celebrating all by itself, but on 12-12-12, our Francie gets the party!
Since, at the moment, there are no purple orchids in the yard, here you go, Francie! |
Have a don't end your world Wednesday! Do something whimsically weighty.
Sadness and Joy. Sadness and Joy. Happy Birthday Purple Francie! As for Jorge and his (our) beloved Arte Fango, raise a glass for us in celebration of the many years of happiness we all were graced with.
ReplyDeleteAll of that. And yes, a glass will be raised in your names.
DeleteWhat? they're kicking the man out of his house and bulldozing the land? That's bad.
ReplyDeleteHappy 12-12-12

It's very bad. But we had a great party tonight and the fight to save the land will continue. Hope you had an excellent 12-12-12.
DeleteJorge may have to move, but his artwork will live on. I have t-shirts of his and a print framed and hanging in my boat. Also, I'm switching to a lunar cycle calender, 13 months per year. Can't wait for 13-13-13! Oh, unless 12-21-12 comes true.
ReplyDeleteAt the party tonight he was very positive and had so many people giving him support and love. This only adds to it and I will share it with him.
DeleteI really like the idea of going lunar!
