It was overcast. It was sunny. It was lightning and thunder stormy. It HAILED!!! Ok, it was only pea sized and there wasn't much of it and it melted right away (and the photos through the window didn't turn out, you'll just have to trust me - it hailed. Really!). And then the fog swirled on the river, when the sun came out. The tide was extremely high, maybe today's Summer Solstice is playing a part? I think so!
When we got to the river
Clearing and swirling downriver
The sun comes out
And then the mozzies came out in droves and we went in. Later, the sky cleared, the Big Dipper brilliant overhead and fireflies danced everywhere - flying stars. A beautiful day and night of extremes.
Enjoy your Summer Solstice! Celebrate the sun (even if it is baking you, without it we'd be mighty cold).
