I was not thinking yesterday when, as we were leaving Morrill, where Phil's house is, headed to Boothbay, where Laurie's house is, we stopped at the co-op and there in the cafe was little Lori! - and I took no photos. She decided she might hang around the area a little longer - fun surprise!
We got home and transplanted 50+ hot pepper plants to sell at the store. Almost every one is different and some varieties I've never heard of before. Of course we saved a few for the home garden.
Apparently there was quite a bit of rain here while we were gone. The lettuces, which we sampled at dinner last night, are doing great! So are the peas....
No iguanas to eat them, either!
And now, off to work...yes. Really.
Yes - but beware of the dreaded #@*# woodchuck! They ate the tops off all of my hostas in the shade garden last year - it then had a rather southwestern look about it - filled with spikey stems.
