Special Sunday ~ Culebra Style Puppy World

Normally Sunday is Simple Sunday, one photo or so. But since I make the rules, I can break them too. Let us begin!

We have some really, really, really SWEET dogs for adoption here. I can attest to that because I've played with them, gone to the beach with one of them, had one in particular sit in my lap looking so freaking adorable that I only just managed to release myself from her eyes and not take her into my unsuitable life. Barely. Escaped.

But lots of you have suitable lives and I'm going to let you have the chance to love for their lifetime one or more of these funny, sweet, longing for love in all the right places pups.

This is Max. Beautiful, sweet ball of energy. We think Max might be part goat, leaping jumping prancing.  A message from his foster mom:

Max is a 2 year old neutered male. Housebroken, leash-trained, gentle, loves to go for car rides even in his crate! He is very affectionate and energetic, and is great with dogs, but cannot be in a home with cats. A perfect loving companion who would be great for someone who wants a friend to run with!

This is Patge. Irresistible face. Perfect Dog temperment. Hilarious at the beach. That is my own take Here's what her foster mom says:

"Patgi: this adorable 4 month old pup was found abandoned and very ill by two Culebra children when she was 10 weeks old. Now she is a healthy, playful, gentle, and very loving puppy who needs a home with another dog to play with. She has been home-fostered with dogs and cats, and is very loving to all of them. She's also great with people!"

At 10 weeks old (sister to our next beauty contestant below) Cocoa is even more adorable than this photo does justice. She's got this amazing combo of a deep auburn coat with green eyes that most of us women would kill for. Okay, not kill for, just be deeply envious of - except for you have really have that combo. Beautiful, sweet tempered, young and ready to go home.

Two sisters to fall in love with (someone already fell in love with the black & white pup!)

Her official name is Vanilla, but she responds much better to Cuddle Muffin, Sweetie Baby, Snuggle Buns, and a few more that I won't admit to using. At 10 weeks old, she's ready to be your baby

Awwwwwwweeeee Puppy Love Monday

You know how they say bad news usually comes in threes? I'm happy to tell you, sometimes it's just tough news and it can come in fives. Or sixes. Or eights. This time it's in fours fives. Once again, Culebra is playing host to Dump the Puppies, a seasonal game played much to the dismay of dog lovers and frustrated helpers alike. Combine a love of animals with a sense of responsibility, where a person picks up what has been uncaringly tossed away and I bring you ~

Hey! It's not our fault we don't have a home! But look, we're every color you might fall in love with.

These three were found...oh, it doesn't really matter where they were found. Here they are and they need homes and they need love as much as they want to give it. Or at least loving fostering until they can get homes. Can you help?

Then we've got this little girl. It's Dump the Cutest Puppies Ever Month, apparently.

I wish I could take all of them, but I can't. I wish some of you could take at least one, and maybe you can.
