What's Been Going On?

The view has grabbed me and I'm not letting go!

Well, this isn't what I want to see out there!

We got a bit of rain on this morning

The sky was changing every minute. Literally.

Then the color changed too

Finally it was too blinding to look at anymore.
Blinded by the light, I believe that's called.

Oh. Did you know our sewer fittings are made in India?

When most boats are white, the ones with color really stand out.
It was later in the afternoon and this boat was headed out.

Birds swooped around it.
I'm sure it had some deeper meaning I can't articulate.

Yesterday was an over to the big island day.

The morning star was blazing. I know that's hard to tell but it really was.

One of the many things I love is that so many of us who live here act like tourists on the ferry, never tiring of the in your face beauty all around us at dawn.

p.s. to those people who came over early and left a two handed handful of trash on the ferry - there are trash cans available, just so you know.

And David Bowie died, leaving any of us who ever listened to even one of his songs with thankfulness that he shared his stardust. 

So yeah, that's pretty much what's been going on. In between one needs to eat, drink and do some odds and ends but everything eventually comes back to the sometimes blinding beauty of our little world here. Our golden days and years.

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like...

Culebra in the Christmas season. 

Getting my little world back on track here and enjoying the warmth so much (even sweating while taking a walk I keep thinking, YAY! I'm sweating!), one of my favorite holiday homes came along. Every year there is a little something new. Great couple, great fun.

A Walk To Town and Beyond

I had to get to a place past town yesterday morning and walking seemed like a good way to go. It wasn't hot, exercise is good for the body and the mind, reuniting both with home views. 

It is so much more green now than when I left!

Along the way I saw friends and others I'd not seen since returning, making my meandering into a gift receiving journey. 

At a gentle pace you can see a lot. Changes and samenesses, old and new. Old and older.

So, a chicken walks into a bar...

Yeah, this has got to go. Taxis benefit, that's all.

On the way back, I looked for what I'd missed and of course, there is much. One of the chosen misses was the hundreds of white/yellow (and sometimes black/brown) moth / butterflies swarming the blooming bushes. They swoop and soar in groups of 4 or 10 or sometimes just alone. It would take a video to do them justice, but keep a lookout for them, it's quite a ballet.
