culebra tiny home tuesday ~ perfection

maybe there is someone, someplace, who doesn't value the enchantment of orchids, but with over 25,000 documented species throughout the world and more being discovered every day, maybe that rare someone just hasn't stumbled onto that one magical bloom catching his or her fancy.

are you that someone? some orchid porn lives here for you to check out and into.

you can get orchids anywhere from flea markets to orchid shows, or even just breaking off a colm from a mother plant and putting it in medium from dirt to moss to straw to tying it to a tree. the important thing is to give it a daily misting (you can go all out with special foods, sure, but the ones i've had for closing in on a decade seem happy without anything more than good old h2o, rainwater being the best - at least around here).

there are orchid shows in puerto rico in the spring, if you want to plan ahead (for most of us on culebra, going to the big island for an event rather than an errand means needing a great excuse reason - this is that).

what do orchids have to do with tiny homes,  mj? in my thinking, a big part of living in a small physical space means that more attention is focused on details, the lack of lots of 'stuff' means that what you do have beyond the practical should be pleasing to the eye and spirit; orchids can fill the bill. everything we surround ourselves with should have a purpose and as far as i am concerned, the pleasure beauty brings is as necessary as toilet paper.

have a tantalizing tuesday. do something tridemensional.
