That was when the sky was a brilliant blue with a mass of clouds to the east, but far enough off that it looked like the rising of the Super SuperMoon, known in celestial circles as the perigee moon (that describes the moon's closest approach to the Earth in any given month and this one was the closest of the year). But then, as moon rise approached, clouds gathered like an upside down curtain from the horizon. Would we even get to see the moonrise? Not much.
But it was still beautiful.
Have a moments of magic Monday. Do something meltingly majestic.
Love the Moon shots! I like the moon peeking through the venetian blinds, shows more character than a big white ball. Although, the moon is beautiful in all its phases.
ReplyDeleteAlways beautiful. What a nice planet we live on to have such a view.
DeleteI love you can sit and watch the water, the moon. If you can, then you make it possible for me to :) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAh Polly, it's hard to sit still, but stunning wonders of beauty can slow down even me. Love you, old friend. I mean...uh, long time, uh. Oh hell, we're old. And still laughing! Can't wait to get out there and watch a moonrise!
DeleteMoon?
ReplyDeleteYeah. That big thing in the sky? Whole lotta songs written about it? Rhymes with June? Moon.
DeleteThe clouds were definitely buzz-kills. The super moon looks beautiful from our location. Also, that view of the water with the motor boat reminds me of a painting I once saw. It's such a beautiful scene. Thank you so much for sharing the awesome pictures. All the best to you!
