I'd show the view to town but I've already taken the walk that shows it best and three or four hilly walks a day is my limit. Do you hear that, dogs? While I don't think I'll end up with buns 'o steel, it can't be bad for me. I don't think. Although that would be a nice side benny.
It is feeling very Springlike around here
Of course, desert roses bloom anytime, but these seem particularly exuberant
This is Dakity with the tide higher - you can see the whole shape of the reef here, defining the line between calm waters and the sea beyond. It's a special place within a special place.
And that's it for today, boys and girls! Stay tuned for more quiet adventures! Oh, and one thing. There is a television here. It only gets about three channels, which works well for someone who doesn't have television. PBS is one station but there seems to be a few facets of it. On one of them is a children's show and I always seem to tune in when Curious George is on. Curious George, not surprisingly, is one of my favorite book characters and they've done a very good job of keeping true to him and The Man With the Yellow Hat. The last two episodes have been about composting and recycling. Yes, really. Gently funny, just like I remember him. I always wanted Pippi Longstocking and Curious George to get together, maybe on a trip to NYC to meet Eloise...
Yes, yes, this part sucks. I didn't even remember it. I need a mind eraser now, thank you.
Of course, there will always be those who beg to differ about Curious George and his stories. This person is one of them. I feel sorry for any children in this house and I'll never forgive this writer for this. Ever.
Ok, I really do need to go feed some chickens.
Have a why where and what wondering Wednesday. Do something wistful.
