Free Range Friday ~ From There to Here

Every picture tells a story story. Here's my little story of there to here this time.

Dakity

I'd have cropped out the plane wall but...I didn't.

So long, Flamenco

On a clear day you can see forever. This was not a clear day.

This is not Culebra.

The Jet Blue wing of the airport was totally confusing to me. Dumped from the TSA inspection (how I got pre-check, again, I don't know but I like it - shoes on, computer stays put, no body check) into a big duty free store with gates beyond that, split up for unknown reasons. I followed my nose to a bar & grill where the wine was expensive and the 'side salad' was $2.95. Great price and delicious salad. I thought they'd brought me a salad entree by mistake, it was huge and full of delicious bits, including crumbled plantain chips. If you like salad and happen to be in the Jet Blue area, hit Mango's.

They also have a giant glass wall looking out on the Airport Show for your viewing pleasure.

I was imagining these folks forget they are on a stage for the restaurant
By the time we actually pulled away from the gate, it was dark. I spent some time figuring out how to sit with any comfort (tip: a small toiletry kit at the small of the back is the perfect answer) and watched a movie instead of trying to see the lights of the Bahama chain.

And then, Fort Lauderdale. Without a proper shutter speed in sight.

And so it begins. My brother's freezer is full of duck and pork roast, cornish game hens, a huge salmon filet and 'giant round ice cubes that last forever' according to him. I'll find out more on that later.

Food fun ahead!

Have a feel your freedom Friday. Do something fictionally factual.

    1. Thanks, I'm getting there. Couch and pool therapy is the followed route for now. And hooray for a brother who loves to cook for me!
