Saturday and all is well

Of course, it's early yet. 72 degrees under a waning gibbous moon, with only 94% of the moon being illuminated after last nights Fish Moon/Sleepy Moon/Windy Moon/Big Famine Moon/Moon When Eyes Are Sore From Bright Show (which I particularly like, so I'll stop there). Birds are trilling, the hilltop is just barely edging itself in a suggestion of dusky pink; the cat is fed and the tea is almost steeped. What could go wrong?

After a good bread day (meaning all of the bread went away, chatting with some old friends and good people along the way, with calmer winds not gusting 25 and bluer skies not filled with rain), I almost ran into this guy. He bravely hung on and then seemed to almost be posing. I'll leave it at that. Well. Except that his name is Abelardo.

'You clumsy human!'

'Looking before I leap. Maybe.'

'Certainty is never certain, in case you were wondering.'

'Just flexing the old neck here, one more look.'

'Maybe I can see more this way. Good at this, aren't I?'

'Full profile view, there you go.'

'All right, we're done here. Don't you have something to do?'
Don't forget, the library yard sale for today is cancelled and the nun's sale is tomorrow, 9:30.

Have a serene Saturday. Do something with stillness.

  2. Mark, they are so common that sometimes I don't really see them, but sometimes one or another catches my eye and I realize just WHY people who don't have them are so charmed by them (however, not charmed by their little deposits).
