Raindrops on Kittens

After some work yesterday (scraping paint off walls, if you insist on knowing), Francie and I headed over to Cat City, where 97 cats were spayed and neutered the day before in a marathon of wow! That means, after all the work and how it happened is said and done, that at least 1000 kittens will NOT be born in the next three months. Yes. One Thousand. It was an extraordinary effort, with lots of volunteers, great co-ordination and well done's well deserved all around.

 There are going to be way too many photos today, but, sometimes you just have to roll with it!

Washing the now empty cages (cats were returned to wherever they were trapped)
Cleaning the covering on the gym floor.
Ok, not too many left now!
Volunteers came in and out. It went sort of like this. Carry caged cats to their locations. Bring back empty cages. Clean out dirty gross newspaper litter, food dishes, etc. Give to washing crew. Get back cages and break them down. Drink some water.
All cages are different. I think two were even easy to break down.
Some were like those transformer toys and took a few people a few minutes to figure out.
After that, on the way home we saw a dog that had been hit by a car. Teresa came back with Francie to the rescue and gentled him into a cage. It wasn't pretty, poor thing. Luckily we still had vets on island, who deemed him needing more than we had and sent him to the big island. Then it was time to go into party mode for Steve's 40th Stash Bash!

~~~~A moment for one of those things~~~~
Apparently a few minutes after going by this spot, a plane crashed into the mangroves after there was a malfunction of the 'pull up' stick. The plane overshot the end of the runway and plowed into the mangroves. The pilot was not seriously injured, luckily, though he was taken to the big island. FYI, it was NOT Victor Gonzalez's plane.
~~~~And now, back to the party~~~~

Steve worked his party!
Hi Doug! Thanks for the fun!
John has some great t shirts

The following are pretty self explanatory, if you understand that the theme of the party was mustaches, one of Steve's attributes that Zulemya seriously adores.

A great party! You did real good, Zuleyma, everyone should turn 40 so well! Oh and...we love you, Steve!

Have a turn it on Tuesday! Do something teachable.
