By the time Cwim was calling for breakfast I knew there would an abbreviated sunrise. She's been going crazy(er) all morning. Some animals hide in closets, she, not unlike myself, seems to get extra boosts of energy from all those bouncing ions in the air. We like it...to a point.
Actually, it is our 'so far' lack of weather that is making this morning feel so full of potential, because nothing much is going on other than a too warm wind and cloudiness and a few momentary sprinkles. It just FEELS like something is going to happen. Each time I walk out the door to wander around the yard, Cwim cries out as if to say "WHERE do you think you are going??? Oh dear god, I'd better go with you to make sure you don't get in trouble." She races back and forth to the door as if reminding me how to get back to safety and then patiently waits on the table in the gazebo until I've stopped my foolishness.
Maybe I'll rename her Lassie. Then I'd need to find a Timmy. Never mind.

Isn't it amazing that you can find beauty even in angry skies. No hurricanes here in the North East, but we sure have had some angry skies this summer – which usually result in breathtaking sunsets.
