Hopefully next time James will be b-b-quing.
I watched the short video below early this morning and started the day well. Since this is the face/these are the faces of most of America, I still don't understand how the elections went as they did (with a few exceptions wanting to keep the middle class, lower mid and upper, in existence along with feeding the hungry and sheltering the poor - I'm still bewildered - what is wrong with that?).
Here is the true heart of this country. Or so I'd like very much to think. Lovely, intentional acts of kindness. Random acts of kindness. Good medicine on both sides.
Have a feast on fineness Friday. Do something firmly.
Wow, that video will make your heart swell. The election went the way it did because the majority, the ones who need to, didn't vote. Why? I don't know. I do know that greed is destroying us, I see it everyday, in small ways and in global ways. It's frightening.
ReplyDeleteA lot of - I don't get it. Whatever happened to that 'I can - and I will - make this happen' Spirit of America? It feels like a bunch of whiny puny crap to me. Harsh, but I've not had my coffee yet.
DeleteI agree and I've had 4 cups of coffee!!
DeleteA great story. Just wished you didn't feel the need to politicize it; but because you did, it might be good to look at where and if small businesses and minority communities have faired better these past 6 years. No. They haven't. Stories like the one you shared cut across political party lines. I know you're better than this.
ReplyDeleteYes, this is about the human heart and it's a beautiful thing. We can duke this out later, Tim. We might have to agree to disagree, but I think there is a lot bigger picture here. I'll enjoy the discussion.
