Sunny Sunday

Sunny, still Sahara dusty. But the humidity is down under a 1000% and that's a good thing!

Last night at Gretchen's (on the ferry dock) we had a wonderful treat. Mike got Brazilian singer Deborah Brum and her accompanist (whose name I didn't get, lo siento) over here from the big island to entertain us. Her voice is as beautiful as she is and a very good time was had by all. I took a little bit of video, but it doesn't do her justice, so I'm including a video I found on You Tube.

Happy watching guys

Mike is hoping to get her back here soon, so if you get the chance to hear her sing, don't miss it, she's special.

Bloomin' mangroves

Oh, and just in case you missed the actual date, it doesn't matter because it can be celebrated all year long - the 100th birthday of the bra! First we couldn't wait to get one, then we happily (ok, not all of us) tossed them aside and then, like good shoes, we bowed to the need of support. Like 'em or hate 'em, have a couple raggy ones or lacy confections of every color, La Brassiere is still holding up lo these hundred years later.

Have a splendid Sunday! Do something succulent.
