The Games, The Torch, Culebra

I was shown some photos last night that were on facebook, posted by Iris Nereida Feliciano. This is the torch that has been passed from Mexico to Puerto Rico for the XXI Central American and Caribbean Games Mayagüez 2010.

"The flame arrived in Puerto Rico and the torch relay will go across all 78 Municipalities for 22 days and end its route on July 17 when the games are inaugurated and the fire is placed at the cauldron."

Recognize anyone??

Best of luck to all Games participants!

"In the end, it’s extra effort that separates a winner from second place. But winning takes a lot more that that, too. It starts with complete command of the fundamentals. Then it takes desire, determination, discipline, and self-sacrifice. And finally, it takes a great deal of love, fairness and respect for your fellow man. Put all these together, and even if you don’t win, how can you lose?"
