Oops!

I should have added this but I think it needs its own separate bit...it will be recurring as often as pelicans, so get used to it (my *regular* post for today is below this)

Today is the first day of Hurricane season. Here is the word from NHC. The outlooks are for a mild season, but the cliche "It only takes one" is a cliche for a reason. It happens. Every year, somewhere, more than once. So, get your plan ready, clean up your debris and make your stash of water, food etc. preferably now. There are tons of hurricane plans online you can google, check lists abound. Do your part so you don't have to say, Oh, I wish I'd... if that time comes.

Remember this? Just last year? It could have been us, very easily, as a Cat 4
