Three day weekend? Holiday? Oh yeah, Martin Luther King Day

The 'officiall' Martin Luther King Day is always the third Monday of January. Even though his birthday was yesterday, we are thoughtfully given a three day weekend, ensuring time for our creation and/or participation in events to honor him, his works and his dream. I'm sure most of you have been planning your Martin Luther King memorial actions, gathering with friends and/or families to go work with anyone, whether they look like you or not,but anyone who has needs you might be able to help alleviate. So many choices, so little time! Because of that, I won't take much of your day. Be about your good works with love, where hate might seem deserved.

Did you read or hear about the Occupy Together bus riders being kicked off the bus because the bus driver hates OWS people (and apparently, other people too) That the police, who truly seemed to want to be helpful, actually enforced the action for some not yet explained reason? Have you wondered what country we are living in lately?  Do you have a dream?
Not sure where you should volunteer to help out? This might help you along the way. Or this.

There really IS a hunger in the center of the chest...

Have a motivation full Monday! Do something more than mundane.

  1. Yes, he was, as are the thousands who continue to work for equality on every level. We shall overcome. Someday.
