Boxing Day Futzing

Yesterday was a day for futzing, which is pretty much all I did. No photos, no parties, no projects completed; in fact, it seemed there was a mini-conspiracy going on to keep me from completing any projects. No - well, here is the definition, in case you don't know what futzing is (and who knew there was an offical definition, but there is):

futz/fəts/
Verb:
  1. Waste time; idle or busy oneself aimlessly: "mother futzed around in the kitchen".
  2. Deal with (something) in a trifling way; fiddle with.
On old photo reprisal, because I like this spot.
Today is another kind of day indeed, with tasks to be accomplished. I can do that.

What my  world looked like one year ago today

Have a total Tuesday. Do something teachingly.

  1. That is a good word that can be used to replace a potentially dirty word....

  2. Your "tips" jar might be a bit fuller if you'd report more of the "real" news from Culebra. I had to find out through friends in California that John Anderson died, and through Google that Harold Hapgood died. Your blog is all about you--Culebra isn't.

  3. Sure! I think telling someone to go futz themself could be considered a kindness though.

  4. I know that spot. That is one of the spots we have been hanging our Vieques hamaca every March for the last six years. 73 days!!

Hello Anonymous. It would be good, if you want to post such a strong sentiment, to identify yourself. But even if you won't, I'll give you my response here. I don't post for tips. If someone gives them, that's wonderful, and hopefully means they enjoy what I share. If you've read the description of my blog, it says exactly what you said, that it is about MY view of Culebra. I'm not posing to be a reporter of every or any event, or what you call 'real' news. You've obviously missed something critical in what I'm about here. And frankly, concerning the deaths of John and Harold? I knew people would find out about that through other venues. I don't always choose to bare my soul here and there are many things that happen on Culebra that I don't mention. That's my choice. I'm very happily aware that Culebra is not all about me. However, this blog is from me and what I add or omit, and how I do that, is my decision. I hope that answers any of your thoughts on the matter.
