Happy March! It's National Peanut Butter Month!

A kestral seen in March 2008

Welcome to the first day in March, from Culebra. The sun is shining, the weather is still comfortable, the sky is hazy with volcano dust from Montserrat...

(Oops! update! Just read this...

The NWS from San Juan says it [haze] is due to "THE HAZY APPEARANCE SEEMS TO BE PRIMARILY ASSOCIATED WITH BIOMASSBURNING FROM FIRES IN VENEZUELA. WINDS HAVE BEEN MAINLY FROM THESOUTH AND SOUTHWEST...WHICH WAS THE RESPONSIBLE TO BRING THIS SMOKE TO THE LOCAL AREA."

There you go!).

In case you are wondering what is coming along this month, I found a list of holidays you can celebrate as you like, the whole month through. So get out there and do something! This is from the Fundays Calendar. How can you not love a month with Stop the Clocks day? Plus, my son Elijah was born in this month, which makes it one of the special ones for me

This is from one of our own Fundays
at the beginning of March 2008 at Kim's Paint Party
(Jack, Pam and I'm not sure who is in red)
By the way, this not a Leap Year. Our next Leap Year doesn't occur until 2012. But I think every year is a Leap Year of sorts...just depends on how you define Leap...however you define it, it's a good month to leap into life if you've just been kind of hanging about. Of course, on Culebra, it might be a rather lazy leap...
